Our Faith

Our Catholic faith comprises what we believe and how we live out that belief. For over 2,000 years, the Catholic faith has been handed down from one generation to next, starting with Jesus Christ our founder, to His Twelve Apostles, the sacred tradition of faith remains. In our own lives, we may receive that faith from our parents, from friends, or even a stranger we meet.

To live as a Catholic today includes many wonderful beliefs, practices, and devotions; too many to list here. There are many resources available where you can learn about the faith, here are a few links for reference:

Documents of the Second Vatican Council

The Catholic Encyclopedia

The Catechism of the Church

The Code of Canon Law

The New American Bible

The Archdiocese of San Antonio

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops

St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology
